Fairfield Church is a photographic magnet on the Romney Marsh. The combination of leading lines in the flat landscape, the contrasting red bricks against natures colours and the big skies is irresistible. As a consequence I have visited this place many times and experimented with various photographic disciplines. This particular image was taken on Konica infra red film using a medium format Mamiya 645 Super camera. Infra red film allows you to break certain rules such as the classic 'landscapes must be taken at the extremes of the day'. Well this image was taken on the dot of midday in August!
